I hadn’t exercised in a long time so when a friend of mine told me to come along to Hale Health with him a couple of months back to check it out, I thought “why not?”. Best move I’ve made in a long time. I was immediately hooked with the circuit class so much so that I haven’t missed one since. I also get in a box fit class there once a week on top of the circuit classes. Result = 9kg weight loss in 11 weeks. The workouts are extremely challenging but varied and rewarding. Aaron is an excellent trainer who is highly knowledgeable, genuine, supportive and motivating for those who attend his classes. It’s a great, ego-free environment with friendly (and some hilarious) people who are all in pursuit of better health. I can’t recommend this place enough. It's common knowledge we have some amazing members here at Hale Health Centre.

So we are dedicating our Sundays to our #Sundayshoutouts, which is acknowledging our members who are pretty awesome! ๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ

Today we are shouting out to Rosall and Tua Henry who competed in the Tarawera Ultra Marathon last weekend ๐Ÿƒ

Here's a few words from Rosall about their journey...

"I'd always wanted to do the Tarawera Ultramarathon in Rotorua but wasn't too keen on 50k, 102k or the 100 miler (160k).

So when they introduced the 20k distance (actually 21.3k without the adventure option) for the first time this year, I was super early bird to sign up! (& convinced my husband too as well).

A well organised event, well renowned for their buffet style aid stations, it didn't disappoint!

A bus dropped us off at the Lake Okareka start line & a few minutes later we were off! Running through forests, along Blue Lake, through the "Land of Desolation" (I nicknamed it that for the dramatic change in landscape!) then up-uP-UP-down & through the famed Redwood Forest with the last 5k towards the sulphur flats to a victorious finish inside the Events Centre.

The people are amazing! Some inspiring competitors, elite athletes & just the most awesome experience!

Loved it so much! Thinking 50k next year...as we prepare to conquer the Great Wall Marathon in China, May 2020, with Doug Healey and the Influence Crew"
