I hadn’t exercised in a long time so when a friend of mine told me to come along to Hale Health with him a couple of months back to check it out, I thought “why not?”. Best move I’ve made in a long time. I was immediately hooked with the circuit class so much so that I haven’t missed one since. I also get in a box fit class there once a week on top of the circuit classes. Result = 9kg weight loss in 11 weeks. The workouts are extremely challenging but varied and rewarding. Aaron is an excellent trainer who is highly knowledgeable, genuine, supportive and motivating for those who attend his classes. It’s a great, ego-free environment with friendly (and some hilarious) people who are all in pursuit of better health. I can’t recommend this place enough. Please come and try Hale Health, it’ll transform your life.

It's easy to get caught up on with what is happening in the world today and not feel some anxiety or stress from it, so how can we stay on top of the anxiety?

Here is a few tips that can help get through these uncertain times..

✅ Eliminate the coffee and alcohol – one’s a stimulant and the other a depressant

✅ Get moving – physical activity releases endorphins that improve mood and restore calmness in the mind

✅ Get a full night’s sleep – make sure you have a relaxing bedtime routine to promote a peaceful night

✅ Try relaxation techniques – yoga and meditation are great examples

✅ Seek help! You don’t have to go it alone so reach out to friends, family and professionals who can have you feeling on top of things again.

As you all may have been made aware, we are now at an Alert Level 3 on the Covid-19 Alert System with an increase to Level 4 in 48 Hours.

This unfortunately means the gym is now CLOSED effective as of 5pm today.

We wish everyone the best during this difficult time, and we know that everyone is experiencing the feelings that come with such uncertainty.

Hey Whanau!!

So some of you are wondering if you can still hit up the gym during the Coronavirus outbreak?

💪 💪 💪 Being fit, healthy and strong is the best protection you could have. At this stage the gym is still open however we are definitely following closely day to day movements and updates from the Government and Ministry of Health and have and will be making decisions based on their guidelines. In the meantime, while continuing use of the gym please adhere to these precautions:

👍 Wash hands pre and post-workout - please use disabled toilets upon entry for this
👍 Workout equipment should be wiped down post-use at all times
👍 Towels to be used at all times. No towel, no entry
👍The gym is responsible for regular cleaning and sanitizing
👍 Use the Hygiene stations at the gym as needed
👍 Stay at home if you are unwell or if you have a lower immune system and might be at risk
👍If you have travelled to any high-risk countries make sure you stay away from the gym for a minimum of 14 days

If you are still feeling a little uncertain you may consider 1:1 Personal Training instead of group training or ask about train at home programs.

Kia ora whanau,

We just wanted to send out a big mihi and aroha💝 to you all in these uncertain times.

We just wanted to encourage you all to keep moving, eat well as both these options are the best things for you right now to keep the immune system strong💪.

These uncertain times has forced us to shift and for the last 2 weeks we have been working on some great initiatives to encourage continual movement and eating well for all our current members in spite of what is going on in the world and within our community. We understand that we have awesome members who form a close knit community (social butterflies🦋 in fact) who thrive being part of a big huge whanau👨‍👨‍👧‍👦 and we don't want that to stop.
